James Helton, 59, of Seymour, passed away on August 4, 2021, at his residence. He was born in 1962 to the late William James and Betty Lou (Hadley) Helton in Seymour. James loved to fish, taking cars apart and putting them back together and spending time with his grandchildren. He was always known as “Mr. Fix It” to his family.

James is survived by his children, Michael Ray Helton and Melissa Helton; grandchildren, Michael Ray Helton, Austin Greene, James William Helton, and Jaron Davis; sisters, Linda Cooley, Mary Jones and Lula Jones.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Betty Monies; nephew, Isaiah Allman.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 9, 2021, at Voss Chapel from 3-4pm.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, August 9, 2021, at Voss Chapel at 4pm.

In keeping with Mr. Helton’s wishes, cremation services are being provided by Voss Funeral and Cremation Services.
