Mr. James Leo Ray, 62, of Seymour, passed away Monday, April 15, 2019 at Lutheran Community Home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Seymour to Rea Ellis Ray and Luetta Marie (Engelking) Ray of Seymour.
Funeral services will be conducted by Voss & Sons Funeral Service at Trinity Pentecostal Chapel on Thursday, April 18 at 2:30 pm with Rev. Ryan Bradley and Bro. Larry Dalton officiating. Burial will follow at Cana Cemetery.
Family and friends may call at Trinity Pentecostal Chapel on Thursday from 12 Noon until time of service.
He was a member of Trinity Pentecostal Chapel West. On January 14, 1978, he married Gail Ann Pfaffenberger; she survives. He enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting and widdling canes with his knife that he named Uncle Buck. He had worked as a manufacturing warehouser. Being involved in his families lives and making his grandkids laugh was his favorite thing.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Gail Ray; children, Amanda (Brent) Clem and Samara Ray (Jeff Baker); grandchildren, Brittany Clem, Alyssa Stagnolia and Reagan Baker; and brothers, Stephen (Jane) Ray, David (Mary) Ray, Mark (Tina) Ray and Floyd (Robin) Ray.
He was preceded in death by his father, Rea Ray.
Memorials may be written to Trinity Pentecostal Chapel West or St. Jude Children’s Hospital, in care of Voss & Sons Funeral Service.
