Ms. J. Arnell Sciarra, 88 of Seymour, passed away peacefully at home, on Friday, August 3, 2018. She was born on June 21, 1930 in Seymour, to the late Curtis and Gladys (Horning) Judd.
Funeral services will be at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Tuesday, August 7th, at 10 am with Rev. Denny Allman and Rev. Dennis Allman officiating.
Family and friends may call at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Monday from 4-7 pm and on Tuesday from 9 am until time of service.
Arnell was a graduate of Shields High School Class of 1948. She was a homemaker and had worked at JC Penney for many years. She was a loving mother and grandmother, who enjoyed time with her family, traveling and especially being with the many friends at the Senior Center and Club 107.
She is survived by her daughter, Jana (Jim) Plump; three sons, Mark (Tricia) Sciarra, Gregg (Ann) Sciarra, and Brett (Marla) Sciarra; eight grandchildren, Eric (Elizabeth) Plump, Cory (Katy McElroy) Plump, Lauren (Craig) Wright, Lindsay Sciarra, Marcus Sciarra, Braden Sciarra, Madeline Sciarra and Griffin Sciarra; and two great-grandchildren, Asher and Owen Plump.
She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Wanda L. Lahne and former husband Fred Sciarra.
Memorials may be written to Seymour Senior Club 107 or charity of choice, in care of Voss & Sons Funeral Service.
