Mr. Jerry Riley, 78, of Seymour, passed away on Saturday, June 01, 2019 at Schneck Medical Center.
Jerry was born in Scottsburg, IN., to the late John Riley and Mary (Hardin) Riley.
On December 18, 1971, in Seymour he married Nancy Sue Thomas, who passed away in 2010.
Jerry served in the United States Army. He retired after 23 years from HO Canfield / Panasote . He then went to work at Cosco in Columbus where he retired after 12 years.
Jerry enjoyed life, he liked listening to country music, watching college basketball, fishing and dancing the twist. He will be greatly missed by his family, who he loved to spend every moment with.
Jerry is survived by his children; Deana S. Riley, Brian K. (Terrie) Riley, Brad (Tina) Riley, Jennifer Slone and Michael L. (Becky) Riley; 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; brother, Eddie Riley; sisters, Johnita Meeks and Linda Hall.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, and sister; Elaine Begley.
Funeral services will be held at Voss and Sons Funeral Service on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m with Pastor Gary Dyer, officiating. Family and friends may gather at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday after 12:30 until time of service.
Burial will take place at the local cemetery in Seymour; with full Military Honors will be conducted by the VFW, American Legion, DAV, Korean and Vietnam Veterans All of Seymour.
