Jerry L. Gallion, 61 of Seymour, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2015, at home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born August 28, 1954, in Seymour, Indiana, the son of the late Harry R. “Bob” Gallion and Delores May Marsh Gallion who survives.
He married Mary Jo Toppe on June 7, 1980, at St. Andrews United Methodist Church, in Seymour, and she survives.
Jerry was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church. He was a 1974 graduate of Seymour High School. He was self-employed as an Industrial Fabricator. He loved fishing, Colts football, skeet shooting, roller-skating at Roksey back in the day, his family, and his beagle pups, Theodore and Daisy.
Jerry is survived by his wife, his mother, their son, William L. Gallion, four grandchildren, Julia, Connor, Sophia and Carson; two brothers, Harry R. (Joyce) Gallion Jr., and Gary (Kirsten) Gallion; three sisters, Janice (Leonard) Kreinop, Donna Reece, and Candy (Mark) Sentz; several nieces and nephews, and several brother and sister-in-laws
He is preceded in death by his father, his father-in-law, Robert E. Toppe, his mother-in-law, Patricia A. “Pat” Toppe.
Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 am on Monday, September 14, 2015, at St. Ambrose Catholic Church with Fr. Dan Staublin officiating and assisted by Deacon Mike East. Graveside service will be conducted at 10:00 am Tuesday at Riverview Cemetery.
Friends and family may call at Voss Chapel Sunday from 4-8 pm and Monday at St. Ambrose Catholic Church after 10:30 am until time of service. There will be a Rosary Service at 3:30 pm on Sunday at Voss Chapel.
