Mrs. Joan Brumfield, 84, of Seymour, passed away on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Schneck Medical
Center. She was born in Seymour on May 16, 1934 to the late Jesse and Odais (Bowman) Lind.
Funeral services will be at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Wednesday, November 14 at 1 pm with Rev. Jimmy Rodriguez officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.
Family and friends may call at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Wednesday from 11 am until time of service.
She retired from Lear Siglar in 1999 after many years of service. She enjoyed keeping herself busy, especially
with puzzles. She will be missed by her 20 year companion, Dexter the bird.
She is survived by her children, Angy (Jerry) Whetstone and Cindy (Fred) Trimpe; grandchildren, Matthew
Maurer, Heath (Courtney) Whetstone, Shanna (Bryan) Thomas, Audrey (Adam) Mumma, Lacy Trimpe
(William Arthur), Blake (Sandra) Trimpe, Carly Trimpe and; great-grandchildren, Emily Williams, Kendal and
Cooper Whetstone, Loralei Mumma and Chanze and Preston Arthur; brother, Richard (Loraine) Lind; and
sister, Marjorie Maschino.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carl W. Brumfield; brother, Ray Lind; and sisters, Martha
Cartwright and Dorothy Fox.
Memorials may be written to Riley’s Children’s Hospital or Hospice of Schneck Medical Center, in care of
Voss & Sons Funeral Service.
