John Nicholas Robinson

John Nicholas Robinson, 73, of Seymour passed away on July 12, 2020 at Schneck Medical Center. John was born in Portsmouth, Virginia, on June 13, 1947 to parents John Morris Robinson, Jr., and Pauline (Palmer) Robinson. On May 10, 1969, in Aurora, Minnesota, he married JoEllen (Rukavena) Robinson.
John had a distinguished career in the United States Army receiving; the Army Commendation Medal, the Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct awards, the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal with four Silver Service Stars, Vietnam Campaign Medal with Device 60, Army Service Ribbon, two Overseas Service Ribbons, Combat Infantryman Badge and two Overseas Service Bars. After retiring from the military John went to work at Wal-Mart in management for 15 years.
John stayed in shape by going swimming with other guys at 4 am each morning at the Seymour High School.
John is survived by his beloved wife, JoEllen; his children, Nicole Jo Robinson, and Michael Jon Robinson; and five grandchildren. He also leaves behind his sisters, Connie Erickson, Paula Robinson, and Wendy Boucher.
John was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Jonathon Robinson.
Cremation services for John were entrusted to Voss & Sons Funeral Service, Crematory and Monuments.

40 years of memories is hard to summarize. Nick and JoEllen have been the best friends anyone could ask for, they were/are my blessings from God. Revelations 21:4 And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away. 5. Then He who sat on the throne said, "Behold, I make all things new". And He said to me, "Write, for these words are true and faithful."
