John D. Weber, 79, of Scipio, passed away June 28 in Indianapolis. He was born October 9, 1937, to William John Weber and Freda Anna Henrietta (Zumhingst) Weber. He was retired from Reliance Electric, Co. where he was a Mechanical Engineer; he also served in the Army during Vietnam. He was a dedicated member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Seymour.
He is survived by his wife, Shelby J. (Tomlinson) Weber; his daughter, Jennifer Hale and husband, Michael; a stepson, James Tomlinson and wife, Suzy; a sister, Mary Ann McDonald; and 6 grandchildren, James Tomlinson, Devin Tomlinson, Lucas Hale, Jessica Hale, Derek Hale, and Calista Hale.
He is preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Dennis Weber; and three sisters, Carol Shrader, Jewell Ziegler, and Janet Martin.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, July 1 at Immanuel Lutheran Church with Rev. Philip Bloch officiating. Family and friends may visit at the church from 9 am until the time of service at 11 am.
