Karen Sue Tindell

March 25, 1941 - May 15, 2016

Karen Sue Tindell, 75 of Seymour, Indiana, passed away Sunday, May 15, 2016, at her home in Seymour with her family at her side.

She was born March 25, 1941, in North Vernon, Indiana, the daughter of Boyd and Geneva (Wire) Gregory.

She married Roy Tindell Jr. on October 2, 1958, in Norfolk, Virginia, and he preceded her on December 3, 2010.

Karen was a member of the First Marion Baptist Church. She worked as an Office Manager for her daughter, Tina’s business and was a homemaker her entire life. She loved being with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and played a vital role in her grandchildren’s lives. She enjoyed reading, playing scrabble and loved to laugh.

She is survived by her son, Michael (Missy Allman) Tindell, daughter, Peggy (Robert “Bob”) Garrett, grandchildren, Brandon Clark, Keelyn Clark, Logan Tindell-Hageman (Jasmine), Justin Hageman, Bobby Garrett Jr., Alex (Becky) Garrett, Tiffany (Jon) Bitner, and Tyler Tindell; great-grandchildren, Aryahna Tindell-Clark and Amara Hageman; son-in-law, Jerry Hageman, brothers, Ron (Vivian) Gregory and David (Cindy) Gregory; sisters, Donna Dilk and Debby (Tim) Ross; sisters-in-law, Eva (Charlie) Reveal Hunter, Sandy Tindell and Betty (Jack) DeHaven; brother-in-law, Art Buchanan and a special family friend, Brandy.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, daughter, Tina Sue Hageman, sister, Joy Buchanan; brother-in-law, Augie Tindell, and sister-in-law, Emma Jane (Donald) Maschino.

Funeral service will be held at Voss Chapel, on Thursday, May 19, 2016, at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.

Friends and family may gather at Voss Chapel on Wednesday from 4 to 8 pm and after 9:00 am until time of service.

Memorial checks may be written to the American Diabetes Association.

Karen tindell ir mawzy to my family, was always filled with joy and laughter. She shared many stories with me about her kids adventures and raising her grandkids. She talked about wanting to dance and all the ways she enjoyed making poor roy (her husband) jelous. She was an amzing women and a blessing to my life. I am greatful she was my best friend, like a grandma to me and most of just an amazing women in my life... mawzy i love you so much and we will miss you greatly

Dear Family, I regret not being able to come and pay my respects, in person, but am recovering from two back to back hospital stays. Just know our prayers and love are with all of you.
