Katie M. Deaton, 86, of Seymour, passed away Monday, October 26, 2020 at Covered Bridge Health Campus. She was born in Seymour on June 18, 1934 to the late Conrad and Carrie (Helton) Boling. On May 21, 1954, Katie married Adam Earl Deaton.

Katie attended Mountain Baptist Church. She was employed with H.O. Canfield for more than 6 years. She was a loving and devoted homemaker, wife, and mother.

Katie is survived by her sons, Tony Deaton and friend Debbie Fields, Timothy Deaton, and Mark Deaton and his wife Susan; 6 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughters in law; Barbara Deaton and Sigrid Deaton; and an infant brother

Funeral services will be conducted by Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Thursday October 29, 2020 at 1:00 p.m., with Rev. Michael Hogg officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery. (Mask and social distancing are required when entering Voss & Sons Funeral Service)

Family and friends may call at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Thursday after 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral
