Mr. Kenneth John Kirchner, 70 of North Vernon, formerly of Seymour, passed away Saturday, December 2, 2017 with his family by his side.
Kenneth was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on March 15, 1947, the son of the late Aloysius and Terri (Conley) Kirchner.
On November 20, 2008 in North Vernon, he married Evelyn (Combs) Colwell.
Kenneth was a member of the Seymour Community Church. He had been employed with Arvin Industries and also worked in the coal mines in Terre Haute. He loved his family and enjoyed watching and cheering on the Kentucky Wildcats basketball team. He like to go to local antique cars shows.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, children: Kenneth Kirchner Jr., Sharon Kirchner Friley, Anna Kirchner Jansen, Kendell (Troy) Kirchner Taylor and Amanda Kirchner, 10 grandchildren and several great grandchildren; sisters: Donna (Jeff) Mozingo, Betty (Roger) Owens and Lynn Hulse, and Marina Fletcher, brothers: Bob (Belinda) Kirchner, Rick (Trieste) Kirchner, and Kevin Fletcher.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother in law: Charles Hulse and nephew: Michael Taylor.
Funeral service will be at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at 10:00 a.m.
Burial will follow at Scottsburg Cemetery, in Scottsburg, Indiana.
Family and friends may gather at Voss & Sons Funeral Service (316 N. Chestnut St., Seymour) on Tuesday, December 5 from 5 to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday after 9 a.m. until time of service.
Memorials may be designated to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana or Seymour Community Church, through the Voss & Sons Funeral Service, Seymour.
