Lestal Voss, 84, of Seymour, Indiana passed away March 23, 2022. He was born in 1938 to the late Walter and Lorena Voss.

Lestal was well known around the Seymour community. He enjoyed visiting the Senior Citizens Center and going to the boat to socialize. He served five years in the Marines. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his brother; Jack Voss, and sister; Mary Jacoby, and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Walter and Lorena Voss, his brothers; Kenneth Voss, Eldon Voss, Gordon Voss, Marion Voss, Roger Voss, and his twin brother, Estal Voss, his sisters; Pearl Ritz, Emogene Bode, and Evadean Marcil.

Graveside service will be conducted at Riverview Cemetery on Monday, March 28, 2022, at 11am with full military graveside rites conducted by VFW Post 1925, American Legion Post 89, Disabled Veterans 47, Korean and Vietnam Veterans, all of Seymour.

Family request memorial contributions be made to Lutheran Community Homes or Schneck Hospice in care of Voss and Sons Funeral Service.

In memory of Lestal Voss, Amy Voss Pruden lit a candle

Although Estal passed away June 12, 2022 he and Lestal had a tight twin bond and rivalry. Who could win more gambling? Who could get a bigger laugh at a story? Who was more successful? We would like to say how sorry we are for our extended family's loss and glad the brothers can once again be together. With love from Janet, Mikki Haines and family, Susan Gray and family, Tina Buscemi and family.

Grateful to have heard so many fun stories about my Great Uncle Lestal from my grandpa Estal. He will be missed, but I’m glad that the two of them are reunited in heaven.

Prayers and thoughts to the family

Lestal was a cousin of my grandfather’s, Marvin Voss. I had the pleasure of meeting him when I moved into the apartment building on the corner of O’Brien and Brown. We lived in the same building for 3 years and I loved to listen to his stories. He was such a character! I stopped to see him one of the last times I was in Seymour. He will be missed for sure! Thank you my friend for all the time you spent just talking to me and telling me about your adventures.
