Lloyd Sanders, 75 of Seymour, Indiana, passed away at 11:00 am on Thursday, December 22, 2016, at his home just North of Seymour surrounded by his family.
He was born February 21, 1941, in Bedford, Indiana, the son of Harold Jason and Ethel Marie (Lavender) Sanders.
He married Ruthie Craig on May 27, 1967, at the Free Methodist Church in Bedford, Indiana, and she survives.
Lloyd was a member of Brownstown Church of the Nazarene. He served in the United States Air Force. After graduating high school, he received an engineering certificate and went to work for Duke Energy until his retirement in 1996. He also enjoyed working as a clockmaker.
He is survived by his wife, children, Kimberley Dawn (Jay) Schmidt and Jason Craig (Becky) Sanders; eight grandchildren, Sierra, Laurin, Lorelei, Sam, Abby, Joe, Carley and Claire; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Jack and Danny Sanders; and one sister, Kay Owens.
Funeral service will be held at Brownstown Church of the Nazarene on Tuesday, December 27, 2016, at 11:00 am with Rev. Tim Lichtley and Rev. Dave Colgan officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery with US Flag presentation and taps.
Friends and family may gather at Voss Chapel on Monday from 4 to 8 pm and at the church on Tuesday after 10:00 am until time of service.
Memorial checks may be written to the Brownstown Church of the Nazarene through Voss & Sons Funeral and Crematory Service, Seymour, Indiana.
