Loretta M Speer, 82, of Seymour, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2015, at the Covered Bridge Healthcare Campus surrounded by her loving family.
Loretta was born on December 16, 1932 in Bedford, Indiana the daughter of the late Walter and Dorothy McDonald Seidle.
Loretta married James Speer on September 9, 1950 in Bedford, Indiana, and he survives.
Loretta was a member of the Trinity Pentecostal Church. She was a very active church member and in earlier years was a Sunday School teacher. Loretta loved to keep a garden and grow flowers. She especially loved yellow roses. She also enjoyed shopping and traveling with her husband and family.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, six children, Charlene (Duane) Darlage, Barb (Frank) Maschino, Jim (Debbie) Speer, Jr., Bradford Speer, Wally (Brenda) Speer and Nathan (Candy) Speer, twelve grandchildren, Becki (Daryl) Short, Gina Darlage, Rachel (Rodney) Wagoner, Jenni Metz, James Speer III, Sara (Austin Jackson) Speer, Brad Speer, Jr., Mick Speer, Abby Speer, Audrey Speer, Nolan Speer, and Faithe Petty; and six great grandchildren, Jordan Ellis, Logan Overshiner, Reid Darlage, Dustin Metz, Rylee Jackson, and Carsen Jackson; brothers Rudy Seidle, David (Bonnie) Seidle and Jerry (Twanette) Seidle and sister, Norma (Paul) Farrel.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Lloyd Seidle and Donald Seidle.
The funeral services will be at Trinity Pentecostal Church, 1013 W. Laurel Street Seymour, on Friday, July 24, 2015, at 10:30 am with Rev. Larry Dalton performing the service. Burial will follow at Leesville Cemetery.
Friends and family may call at Voss Chapel on Thursday, from 4 to 8 pm and at the church Friday after 9:30 am until time of service.
The family asks that memorials be designated to Trinity Pentecostal Church.
