Mr. Louis E. Bobb, 75, of Seymour, passed away at St. Vincent Hospital Indianapolis on Wednesday, May 24, 2017.
Mr. Bobb was born in Seymour on June 7, 1941 at home, on the farm where he still lived and worked at the time of his death. He was the son of the late Earl Harry and Hilda (Siefker) Bobb. He was a 1959 graduate of Shields High School and a 1963 graduate of Purdue.
Louis loved his family and his farm heritage and raising cattle there.
He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and a former member of the Jackson County Extension Board, Girls’ Inc Board, Seymour FFA Advisory Committee, Chairman of the Past Drive Committee of the United Fund, and the Cattlemen’s Association and Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity. Louis retired as an Agriculture Loan Officer in 2003.
Louis married Judy Judd July 23, 1961 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Seymour.
He is survived by his wife: Judy, two children; Douglas Bobb and Julie Bobb (Patrick) Ballard, his grandson; Patrick DeBoor, one brother; Charles (Karen) Bobb, one sister; Elsie (David) Brooks and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and one sister; Janet Bobb (Bill) Nolting.
Family and friends may call at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Friday May 26th, from 3 to 8 p.m. and from Immanuel Lutheran Church on Saturday after 9:30 a.m. until time of service. Funeral Service will be at Immanuel Lutheran Church on Saturday, May 27, 2017, 10:30 a.m., with Reverend Ralph Blomenberg and Reverend Philip Bloch officiating.
Burial will follow at Chestnut Ridge Cemetery in Jackson County.
