Mrs. Lydia Reasoner, 94, passed away on February 24, 2015 at Lutheran Community Home in Seymour.
Lydia was born on August 3, 1920 in Brighton, Colorado. She was the daughter of the late Henry and Elizabeth (Baker) Neiberger.
Lydia was a full time homemaker and lived on her husband’s family farm for 59 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Appleton City, Missouri. She moved to Seymour in 2009 to be near her son and family.
She married Lynn Reasoner on May 24, 1950 in Appleton City, Missouri. They were happily married for 59 years. They had their first date on May 19, 1949.
She is survived by her son, Gene (Becky) Reasoner and daughter-in-law Jamie Shipley, three grandchildren; Greg (Cathy) Reasoner, Josh (Brooke) Reasoner and Zac (Jasmine) Reasoner, and six great-grandchildren; Stephanie Krietenstein, Karsen Reasoner, Kaylee Reasoner, Wyatt Reasoner, Chase Reasoner, Kaylen Reasoner; a brother Victor Neiberger and numerous other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, Dale C. Reasoner and 10 brothers and sisters
Funeral services will be held in Appleton City, Missouri at the First Baptist Church on Saturday, Feb.28, 2015 at 2:30 PM with Rev. Chuck Todd, Rev. Danny Fuller and Rev. Mark Wilkerson officiating.
Friends may call at the First Baptist Church, 303 W. 5th Street, Appleton City, MO, on Saturday from 1:00 – 2:30 PM.
Burial will follow at Westfield Cemetery rural Appleton City, MO.
