Mrs. Marcella Banister, 84, of Seymour, passed away Sunday, July 14, 2019 at Covered Bridge Health Campus. She was born in Brownstown to the late George and Myrtle (McKinney) Robison.
Graveside services will be conducted by Voss & Sons Funeral Service at Fairview Cemetery on Tuesday, July 16 at 2 pm with Rev. Ben Yee officiating.
On May 27, 1978, in Tennessee, she married Herbert W. Banister; he preceded her in death on July 10, 1996.
She was a member of Brownstown Christian Church but attended Central Christian Church. Marcella formerly worked at ITT. She retired from Valeo after many years of service. She was an avid IU fan.
She is survived by a sister, Mary Lubker; sister-in-law, Carolyn Robison; nieces and nephews, Gerda Shebester, Nancy Sterling, Jon Robison, Kevin Robison, Bradley Robison, Jeffrey Robison, Marty Lubker, Mark Lubker, Brian Lubker and Lora Robison.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sons, Timothy Ray Henley and Terry Richard Henley; and brothers, Raymond Friday Robison, Clair Poky Robison, Robert L. Robison and Dickie J. Robison.

I worked with Marcella for many years at Valeo ( GTE) . She was always very helpful when new people came to work and made them feel welcome. She worked hard but we made each other laugh and that made the day go better. She was a sweet lady and a good friend.

Aunt Marcella was a great woman. My girls and I love her very much. When we lived in Kansas City, and came home for a visit , we always made sure to visit. The last time my husband and I visited her we talked about those days. My girls always loved her owl collection and her rocks, and thought they were treasures. (When they were very young). I never knew when I would run into her. Before she moved into the home she was always traveling somewhere. I even remember running into her at the Symphony. I will miss her very much!
