Margaret LaVerne Reed

January 9, 1947 - February 14, 2015

Mrs. Margaret LaVerne Reed, 68 of Uniontown passed away at her home, Saturday February 14, 2015 with the love of her family surrounding her.

She is now with her Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ.

LaVerne was born January 9, 1947 in Lincoln Co. Kentucky. She was the daughter of the late Gene and Ludena Kidd Hodge.

Laverne was a full time homemaker and Pastor’s wife. She was a member of Uniontown Victory Tabernacle.

She married Pastor Kelly Reed on March 30, 1963 in Lincoln County, Kentucky .

She is survived by her husband and daughters Shela Mae Shelton, Kelley Sue Hensley, Peggy Leigh Deaton and sons Matthew Lynn Reed, Mark Anthony Reed, and twenty three grandchildren and thirty eight great-grandchildren.

Her survivers also include her brother Howard Hodge and sisters Mary Lou Middleton and Rene Denny.

She was preceded in death by her parents and son Troy Jay Reed, great- granddaughter Abbigail Price, brothers Bob Hodge, Ralph Hodge, Russell Hodge, Paul Hodge and sisters Della Ball, Wanda Caudell, and Ruth Stroud.

Funeral service will be held at Voss Chapel on Wednesday, February 18th at 1:00 pm with Pastor Walter Manley and Pastor Joel Barrett officiating.

Family and friends may call at Voss Funeral Service, Voss Chapel at 316 N. chestnut St. on Tuesday February 17th from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Wednesday from 12:00 noon until the time of service.

Burial will follow at Uniontown Cemetery, Uniontown, IN.
