Mrs. Margaret Ann Pardieck, 86 of Seymour passed away Monday, March 16th at the Covered Bridge Health Campus in Seymour.
Born August 2nd, 1928 in Seymour, she was the daughter of Clarence and Flora (Burbrink) Steinwedel. On June 25, 1949 she married Robert Pardieck, who preceded her in death in 2001. Margaret graduated from Shields High School and attended Indiana University. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Immanuel Ladies Aid, and a former Girl Scout Leader. She enjoyed attending bible study classes, playing Bridge in her Bridge Clubs and spending time with her family on the holidays and at the family cottage at Lutheran Lake.
Margaret, helped with the everyday operation of their locally and family owned business, the Seymour Greenhouse in Seymour for over sixty years with her husband and children.
She is survived by her five children, Michael ( Jeri) Pardieck, Jane (Kenny) Knue, James (Brenda) Pardieck, Judith (Dave) Casto, and Timothy (Elaine) Pardieck. Also, grandchildren, Angela Spangle, Jason Pardieck, Kristin Scherrer, Kevin Knue, Karen Knue, Misty Cooper, Mike Vogel, Nicholas Casto, Lee Ellen Casto, Jackson Casto, Ryan Pardieck, Cory Pardieck, and Clay Pardieck and ten great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Robert Steinwedel, brother in law Roger Pardieck and sister in law Dorothy Ellerman. Her husband, parents and a sister, Kathryn Adelhelm preceded her in death.
The funeral service will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church on Thursday, March 19th at 11:00 am with a visitation from 10:00-11:00 am at the church, with Rev. Ralph Blomenberg, Rev. Philip Bloch, Rev. Jimmy Rodriguez and Vicar Daniel Merz officiating. The burial will follow the service at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. A visitation will be held at Voss Funeral Home Wednesday, March 18th from 4:00-7:00pm.
