Marvin Field 78, of Seymour, IN passed away at Columbus Regional Hospital on November 20, 2021. In 1943 in Madison, IN he was born to the late Gilbert Field and Lyda Stephenson Field.

He graduated from Fillmore High School. In 1964 in Seymour, he married Janet Vaughn and she survives. Marvin also proudly served his country in the United States Army.

Marvin retired after 30 years from Cummins Engine Company. After retirement he went on to work as a security guard and as a Campground Host at CERAland Park in Columbus.

Marvin enjoyed trap shooting, camping at CERAland Park, and boating at Dale Hollow Lake. He was a huge Republican and an even bigger Trump supporter. Marvin loved his dog Cera, and she was named after CERAland where he loved to camp and enjoyed spending time with family.

Marvin is survived by his wife Janet Field, children; Belinda Bell, Roger (Tami) Field, Michelle (Jerry) Davis, Kevin (Yolanda) Field, Karen (David) Rockey, Ryan (Crystal) Field, grandchildren; Jaqueline Bell, Madeline Bell, Chelsi Tangman, Robert Field, Kyle (Marlee) Davis, Jared Davis, Lexi Keener, Jasper Davis, Kayden Davis, Derek Ryan Rockey, Brooklin Rockey, Dominic Rockey, LouElla Rockey, Luke Rockey, Landen Field, Levi Lockherd, Myziah Capps, Caitlin Hess, Aisha (Orin) Hess, great grandchildren; Charlie Johnson, and Owen Johnson, sisters; Gernetta Land and Jenny Snyder, and several nieces, nephews, and close friend Victor Schneider.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Melvin Field, DeWayne Field, Norman Field, sister Marie Graham and granddaughter Laikyn Field.

Visitation will be held Tuesday November 23, 2021, at Voss Funeral Service from 4-8 pm and on Wednesday November 24, 2021, from 9 am until the time of service at 10 am. Services will be held on Wednesday November 24, 2021, at 10 am at Voss Funeral Service with Jon Pearce and Jeff Matthews officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery with full military graveside rites conducted by VFW Post 1925, American Legion Post 89, Disabled Veterans 47, Korean and Vietnam Veterans, all of Seymour.
