She was really special to me. I spent the days with her and the family back when I was a preschooler and Grandma was still working. She’d make us bologna and cheese sandwiches, maybe some oranges cut in half. She was my personal barber too. Would visit her on the farm after all of us kids were grown. If the kitchen door was unlocked, she was probably home… just walk inside and yell. The older I got, the more I valued the time that I did have with her. I loved just talking with her and listening to her stories. Even during her later years when things weren’t going so well for her, she was clear, caring and had her sense of humor. She had a big heart, cared deeply about her family and was always interested in what our two boys were doing. A genuinely good human being. The last of a generation in our family. She always treated me like I was someone important to her. I loved her and respected her. I am blessed to have known her. I will always miss her.

I always enjoyed visiting Aunt Mary every time we are in town. She was the sweetest country lady and I absolutely just adored her kind heartedness and a wonderful storyteller. She was such a beautiful person. Tom says - she's just a good old country gal - and she truly was. I will miss her deeply.

So sorry. She was my mom's neighbor for years. I use to cut her grass for free when I cut my moms grass. She was a very sweet lady and my family thought highly of her.
