Matthew Scott Ross, 46, of Seymour, Indiana, entered his heavenly home on Thursday, June 24, 2021, at Schneck Medical Center.

Scott was born in 1975 to Beverly Lane Ross and Melvin Ross in Bedford, Indiana and was adopted by James and Elizabeth “Betty” Ross.

On August 19, 1995, he married Memorie Snyder who survives. Scott enjoyed going to dirt track races, driving his truck, spending time with his dog, Milo, working on his tractor and on the farm. Scott was a master griller and smoker. He especially enjoyed watching his children show their livestock at the fair. Scott loved his hobbies but more than anything, he loved his children and his wife.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Memorie; children, Christopher Ross, Brittany (Nick) Toppe, and Anika Ross.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and parents.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 28, 2021, at Voss & Sons Funeral Service from 4-8pm and on Tuesday, June 29, 2021, from 12-1pm.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 29, 2021, at 1pm at Voss & Sons Funeral Service.

Burial will follow at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Vallonia.

Memorials may be written to the Matthew Scott Ross Memorial College Fund.

All arrangements have been entrusted to Voss & Sons Funeral Service in Seymour.

Scott always greeted us with a smile even when he was exhausted from being on the road for long periods. He is one the Safety Team here at Baylor Trucking will sorely miss. He will forever be in our hearts and souls here. May God watch over this Professional drivers family and guide them through this extremely difficult time.

Always had a smile and a great sense of humor. I’m going to miss my “father in law” coming into the store before he hits the road.

Memorie, So sorry for your loss. Scott was a very generous person; I remember when I had a foot injury from a chain saw and he and Curtiss (my son & Scott's friend) bought fire works and brought them to the house so I could enjoy them. I can still hear their laughter as they put on their show for me. I'm sure Curtiss has a lot of good memories with Scott. You and the the kids have my deepest sympathy and prayers. Debra Perkins
