Michael ‘Joe’ McDonald, 60, of Seymour, passed away on August 1, at Schneck Medical Center. His family stood strong and supported him with love and comfort in his last hours. He was born December, 7, 1956, in Seymour, to Roy McDonald and Florence (Whitt) McDonald. He was the owner/operator of JM Painting in Jackson County. He enjoyed being outside and loved the scenery and animals. One of his greatest joys in life was spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Billie Combs Miskell; his son, Josh McDonald; a stepson, Shawn (Sammy) Miskell; three grandchildren, Payton, Haley, and Keigan Miskell; his brothers, James McDonald, David McDonald, and Steven McDonald; and a sister, Linda McDonald.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Family and friends may pay their respects at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Thursday, August 3, from 4 to 7 pm
A graveside service will be Friday, August 4, at 2:55 pm at Riverview Cemetery.
Memorials may be written to Red Sky Rescue, Riley Hospital for Children, or charity of choice in care of Voss & Sons Funeral Service.
