Nina Kendall

Nina Claire Kendall, 87, of Seymour, Indiana, passed away on September 11, 2022, at Covered Bridge Health Campus. She was born on December 26, 1934, in Austin, IN, to the late Ephraim L. and Artie Mae (Carr) Thorpe. On August 28, 1952, in Seymour, she married Robert Ray (Bob) Kendall, Jr, who preceded her in death July 9, 2011.

Mrs. Kendall was a member of Central Christian Church.  She was owner and partner at Kendall’s Service Center in Seymour. Nina and her husband were youth leaders and they and their children all sang in choir at Central Christian Church and was a cadet Girl Scout Leader. She also enjoyed reading, bicycling and were both members of the Bicycle Club, enjoyed car rides with the family. Most of all she loved caring for her family, children, and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Cheryl (Gregory) VonDielingen, Mark (Marilyn) Kendall, Candace (John Jr.) Watson; grandsons, Benjamin Bohall, Jonathan VonDielingen, Aaron VonDielingen, Shaun (Lesley) Kendall, Matthew (Megan) Kendall, Brett (Jessica)VonDielingen, Cody Bohall; granddaughters, Stacie (Mike) Bowman, Clarissa Bohall, Cara (Nick) Hoopes, Keyla (Zack) Kendall Scrogham; 24 great grandchildren, and 9 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, granddaughter Clarissa Bohall Driver, great grandson Marcus Alan Driver, and sisters, Catherene Harmon and Harriett Baker.

Visitation will be held at Voss and Sons Funeral Service on Wednesday September 14, 2022, from 4-8 pm and on Thursday September 15, 2022, from 12:30 pm until the time of service at 1:30 pm. Burial will take place at Riverview Cemetery.
