



















































































































Norma Jean Skaggs,88 of Seymour passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at her home. She was born April 19, 1932 in Jennings County to the late Ralph and Louise (Sparks) Marling.
Private family funeral service will be conducted by Voss & Sons Funeral Service at Seymour Wesleyan Church with Rev. Matt Price officiating. Burial will follow at Cana cemetery.
Family and friends may call at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Friday from 5 to 7 p.m.
In accordance with CDC guidelines, masks are required before admittance to the funeral home and church as well as social distancing within the building. We kindly ask that there be no physical contact such as hugs or handshakes to protect staff and the family. Attendance is limited to 50 people at any given time.
On October 20, 1951, Norma married Gerald “Jerry “Skaggs; he preceded her in death on April 25, 1998. In her younger years, Norma enjoyed playing pool. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading at night, and playing Euchre and other card games with family. She loved to joke around and make people laugh.
Norma is survived by her children, Brenda (Bruce) Satterwhite, Patricia Skaggs, Curtis (Lucy) Skaggs, Robin (Ernest) Moore, Vivian Root, Thomas (Sherry) Skaggs; grandchildren, Angie, Bailey, Kayla, Tyler, Jonny, Jerryka, Wyatt, Lucas, Brianna, Tristan; great-grandchildren, Samantha, Kendyl, Everleigh, Sasha, Addie, Nathaniel; and sisters, Bertha Brewer and Betty Owen as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother; Bobby Joe Marling; and sister, Ethel Louise Layman.
Family asks that memorial checks be written to Seymour Wesleyan Church, in care of Voss and Sons Funeral Service.
