Olive Ann Ray Oathout, 89 of Seymour passed away Friday afternoon April 3, 2015 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana in Columbus, Indiana.
Born April 23, 1925 in Seymour, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late, John A. “Bert” and Hester (Bridges) Ray.
On January 26, 1946, in Seymour, Indiana, she married Roger R. Oathout, who preceded her in death, January 23, 1983.
Ann is survived by her daughter, Beverly Carol Oathout; grandsons: Guiness Andrew Oathout and Cody Roland Sexton; a great-granddaughter: Elsee Oathout; and a sister: Ellen Clark.
In addition to her parents and husband, Ann is preceded in death by a sister: Phyllis Peden and her brothers: Robert D. Ray; Albert W. Ray; and Donald Ray.
Ann returned to the Seymour area in 1983, after many years of residing in Marietta, Georgia. Ann retired as a book-keeper. Locally, Ann attended Rockford United Methodist Church, Seymour. She was active in the Eastern Star Lodge #134, where she also had served as a past Matron.
Funeral services for Ann will be conducted from the Voss Chapel, Seymour Thursday April 9, 2015, at 1:00 PM with The Rev. Bill Weaver officiating; burial will follow in the Riverview Cemetery, Seymour. An Eastern Star service will also be conducted at 12:45 PM.
Family and Friends may call on Thursday April 9, 2015 from 11:00AM until time of the service at the Voss Chapel.
