Patricia Gale Edwards 77, of Seymour, IN passed away on August 20,2021 at her home. Patricia was born in 1944 to the late Floyd H. Blankenship and Mildred Foster Blankenship.

Patricia was a member of Spraytown Free Methodist Church. On May 26, 1962, she married James Edwards in Seymour and he survives.

Patricia collected antiques and loved going to flea markets. Patricia was a registered nurse and was very proud to hold the position of Associate Director of Nursing.

Patricia is survived by her husband; four children James Eugene Edwards Jr., Anthony Ray Edwards (Dawn), Gregory Allen Edwards (Scotty Pence), and Cindi Edwards; numerous grand and great grandchildren; one brother Wayne Blankenship; two sisters, Judy Patrouch and Jane Ward. She was preceded by her parents and son Timothy Edwards.

Services will be held Thursday, August 26, 2021 at 1 pm at Voss and Sons Funeral Home.

Friends may call at Voss and Sons Funeral Home from 10 am till time of service on Thursday August 26, 2021.

Memorials may be written to Spraytown Free Methodist Church in care of Voss and Sons.

Oh yes the ear piercing. Lol. Clothes pin, potato and needle. Sometimes an ice cube. Mine are still good

My Aunt Patty could talk me into just about Anything! She talked me into letting her pierce my ears. She said it wouldn't hurt. She put potatoes behind my ear and jabbed that needle through! It hurt awful. Then I had to let her do the other one. They are still pierced to this day one a little crooked. You could always talk to her She would really listen. I am just getting over covid so I won't be there to say goodbye. I love you. :cupid:

My Aunt Patty loved to have fun! She always had a smile on her face when I saw her. Of course she called me Jamie Ann. That made me feel extra special that she used my middle name also. Such great memories we had growing up with Aunt Patty and Uncle Jimmy and our cousins. I loved how her and my mom Ada were such good friends and sisters -in-laws. Camping was the best but having them come to our home was extra special. As we got older my sister Tina and I would pick on her a little just to hear her laugh. Patty and Jim (and Kids) were the family we hung out with the most when I was younger. Camping almost every weekend in the summer, our week-long summer, camping vacations, and weekends at our house in the colder months. Our best times were impromptu visits to Brownstown to visit all our Edwards side of the family and Salem to visit our maternal grandparents. Aunt Patty was one of the reasons I wanted to be a nurse and she was so happy when I told her I passed my State Boards. She tested my clinical knowledge often. She wasn't happy after I decided to pursue another career (one I still hold - 35 years later) and asked me why - each time I saw her. A great sense of humor, always fell for the little pranks and had the best laugh. She will be greatly missed by all her friends and family. Love you always Aunt Patty! I have many fond, fun memories of times and days spent with you. Prayers, hugs and much love to your husband, Jim and your sons and daughter, your many grandchildren. You will be missed.

Thank you for welcoming me into your family I will miss your quick Witt ( when it wasn’t directed at me ) :wink: and our time watching tv during the family reunions and holidays and of coarse our Margaritas :heart::heart::heart:

I remember the most fun as a child going to the pool and park for picnics and listening to the stories of the sisters...all the laughter...simpler times. I love you Aunt Patty...prayers for the family.

Thoughts and prayers to the whole family.

You could sit for hours and talk with Patty about anything. She loved working puzzles out of the newspaper and would often challenge me to see who could finish first. Such a loving woman and she loved her pets. She is missed already. I love you, Patty ! (2nd Mom) xo
