Mrs. Patricia Joan Maschino, 67, of North Vernon, passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour.
She was born in Seymour on July 17, 1949, the daughter of Halford and Vurlena (Carmichael) McKain.
Patricia married H. Joe Maschino on September 5, 1970 in Hayden, Indiana. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Four Corners.
She was the owner operator of Pat’s Beauty Bar for over 25 years and a hairdresser for over 34 years, most recently at All In One Hair Care. She was also a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She loved her family and friends and was always willing to help others. She always had a beautiful smile and manner that warmed many hearts in the community. She was the epitome of a selfless humble servant to others in need. Pat used her talent as a beautician to become certified by the American Cancer Society to help people fight back against the visual and emotional side effects of cancer. Through the free “Look Good, Feel Better” program, she provided skin care techniques and wigs for hair loss to those undergoing cancer treatment.
Patricia is survived by her sons, Craig A. (Carrie) and, Keith Aaron Maschino; grandchildren; Spencer, Caroline, Meredith, Savannah, Samantha, Austin, Cara, Nakea, and Jacob; a sister, Carolyn Acton; a brother, Halford Lee “Buck” McKain; and step-sisters, Debbie Bloomenstock, Lisa Robinson, Barbara Pickett; and step-brother Tom Carr.
She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
A Rosary service will be Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at 3:30 pm at Voss and Sons Funeral Service in Seymour, Indiana and all are welcome to attend.
Friends and family may call at Voss and Sons Funeral Service on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 from 4 to 8 pm and on Thursday, May 4, 2017, after 12 noon to 1:00 p.m. Procession will leave Voss’s at 1:00 p.m. for St Joseph.
A funeral Mass will be at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Four Corners on Thursday, May 4, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. with Father Jerry Byrd officiating assisted by Deacon Larry French with burial to follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Four Corners.
