Paul Hoene, 89, of Seymour, passed away on September 6, 2021, at the Lutheran Community Home.
He was born in 1932, son of the late Fredrick Joseph and Elizabeth Vornholt Hoene in Seymour.
On September 22, 1957, he married Doris Dieckmeyer and she precedes him in death. Paul served his country proudly in the US Army then went to work at Cummins Engine Plant. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church Borchers. He loved going camping, traveling, throwing horseshoes, playing cards and dart ball, and square dancing.
Paul is survived by his children, Steve (Lisa) Hoene, Tom (Tina) Hoene, Mark (Barbara) Hoene, and Debbie (Brett) Quillen; grandchildren, Nicole (Jacob) Cronauer, Michelle Hoene, Gretchen (Eddie Lopez) Hoene, Erik Hoene, Travis (Stephanie) Quillen, Amanda (Jason) Schreier, Conner Hoene, and Mayson (Braden) Nolan; great-grandchildren, Jaren Schreier, Landry Quillen, Brantley Quillen, Eddie Alexander Lopez, Josie Schreier, and Juliet Schreier; step-grandchildren, Dustin Shuler, Sarah Blacksher, and Travis Manley; step-great-grandchildren, Russel Shuler, Ann Marie Shuler, Sophia Blacksher, Brooklyn Johnson, and River Dean Manley; companion, Pat Darlage-Klosterman.
Paul is preceded in death by his beloved wife; parents; brothers, Ivan Hoene, Orville Hoene and Herbert Hoene.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 4-8pm at Voss Chapel.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday at St. Paul Lutheran Church Borchers in the old chapel at 11am with visitation one hour prior.
Burial will follow at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery.
Memorials may be written to St. Paul Lutheran Church Borchers or Immanuel Lutheran Church.
