Phyllis J. Heiman, 77, of Seymour, passed away Thursday, June 5, 2014 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
Born October 17, 1936 in Seymour, IN, she was the daughter of Everette and Mabel (Otting) Wichman.
On June 9, 1957 at Trinity UMC, in Seymour, IN, she married Noble Heiman who preceded her in death on June 27, 2003. On October 24, 2009 at SeymourFirstChurch of the Nazarene, she married Donald Robbins who preceded her in death on September 26, 2012.
Phyllis was a graduate of ShieldsHigh School. She had worked at Home Federal, Bridal Boutique and was a seamstress. She served in many capacities in her church and also volunteered in the gift shop at SchneckMedicalCenter. She loved gardening, reading, crocheting, quilting, and spending time with her family, friends and her dog Mandy.
Phyllis leaves behind her children: Doug (Jody) Heiman, Scott (Rhonda) Heiman; step-children: Guy Allen (Teresa) Robbins, Donald E. (Bea) Robbins II, Rebekah J. (Terry) Rodgers; grandchildren: Ethan Heiman, Caleb Heiman, Jason (Amanda) Earl, Justin (Lauren) Earl; 7 step-grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and siblings: Carol (David) Fox and Dale (Judy) Wichman.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents and both husbands.
Funeral Services will be held at SeymourFirstChurch of the Nazarene on Monday June 9, 2014 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Steve Greene and Rev. Doug Heiman officiating.
Friends may call at Voss Chapel on Sunday June 8, 2014 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM and Monday June 9, 2014 after 10:00 am until the time of service at the church.
Burial will take place at Riverview Cemetery.
