Robert L “Bob” Clark, 95, of Columbus, Indiana passed away June 17, 2022, at his residence surrounded by loved ones.
Bob is survived by his wife, Rose Clark of Columbus; three sons, Roger (Glenna) Clark of Taylorsville, Jeff Cheek (Diana Grimes) of Columbus and Lewis (Stephanie) Cheek of Seymour; two daughters, Sondra “Sandy” (Roger) Coomer of Seymour, Donna Clark of Seymour; six grandchildren, Cindy (Steven) Wynn of Medora, Kendall Ellison of Seymour, Michelle (Matt) Goins of Carmel, and Jacqueline (Mark) Purvis, of Columbus, Tim Wadsworth, and Tammy Wadsworth; and several great grandchildren, Tristen Bannister of Seymour, Braeden Bannister of Seymour, Isabella Bannister of Seymour, Gabriella Bannister of Seymour, Kamryn Phillips of Seymour, Ethan Perry of Seymour, Jenna Perry of Seymour, Maylee of Medora, Jaylei Carr of Columbus, Luke Wilson of Indianapolis, Gavin and Lennon Goins both from Carmel; two brothers, Richard Dale Clark, Francis Weldon Clark; and one sister, Delma “Dottie” Burkhart.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Mable Greer Clark and Amel Clark; one son Gary Clark; one granddaughter, Kristin Cheek; five brothers, William Oliver “Bill” Clark, Harold Wayne Clark , James Martin Earl Clark, Donald Clark, and Emil Ray Clark; and three sisters, Emma Ruth Bower, Edith Pfaffenberger, and Evelyn Clark.
Bob was born April 12, 1927, in Jackson County to Mable Greer Clark and Amel Clark. Bob and Rose were together for 44 years. Bob was a member of Peter’s Switch Church of the Nazarene. Bob served in the US Navy aboard the U.S. Maryland from 1945-1949. He enjoyed spending time with his great grandchildren. He and Rose like to travel and attend auctions. They have met many wonderful friends through these auctions. Bob likes to work in the flower gardens around the house and enjoys the wonderful meals prepared by his wife.
Visitation will be held at Voss and Sons Funeral Service on Tuesday June 21, 2022, from 10am until the time of service at 12pm. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.
