R Michael Stein left a message on January 20, 2021:
I was fortunate to meet Gene when I started barbering in Seymour around 1967. I believe all the local shops in Seymour and some from Columbus at that time belonged to the international barber's union. I met Gene during our monthly business meetings. Later, I worked with Gene in his barber shop for a brief period and got to know him even better. Gene was always a pleasant man and fun to be around, a real gentleman. Your family are in my prayers. Michael Stein
Janice Brock left a message on January 20, 2021:
Gene was a dear man who will be truly missed by many. One of my favorite thoughts about Gene in recent years is the fact that he drove faster than me as he was coming to church. Many times police are stationed at the high school to catch speeders on Community Drive; I always worried that Gene might get stopped. But God truly was his copilot on those trips. And his smile was always great to see. My prayers are with the entire family as I know there will be a great void in their lives. Gene is enjoying the presence of God, however; and enjoying time with loved ones there. God bless each of you!
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
