Robert Lee “Bobby” Engle, Jr., 62, of Crothersville, IN passed away Thursday, July 13, 2023, at his residence.  He was born on September 8, 1960, in Seymour, IN the son of Robert Lee and Thelma Irene (Royalty) Engle, Sr.  On November 4, 2011, he married Michelle “Missy” Peden in Brownstown, IN and she survives.

Bobby was a 1978 high school graduate of Jennings County High School.  He worked at Stewarts Body Shop and worked on cars most of life.  Bobby was currently employed as a supervisor with WinSupply of Seymour.  He was a member of First Marion Baptist Church where he was an active member.  He enjoyed racing and could be found frequently at the Brownstown Speedway, Florence Speedway or attending a race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.  When he wasn’t at the racetrack, he could be found tending his lawn or spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife Missy, Bobby is survived by his mother, Irene; his children, Brandon (Jessica) Johnson, Brittany (Travis) Baker, Trista Engle, Ashley (Matt) Riley, and Brian (Allison) Simmons; nine grandchildren, Elaina, Henry, Deagan, Teagan, Lexi Grace, Jacklynn, Bryar, Bentlee, and Raelynn; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Bobby was preceded in death by his father Robert Sr.; one sister, Kathy Scroggins; one grandson, Keghan McCrory Engle, and one granddaughter, Addyson Lea Ann Engle.

Funeral services for Bobby will be held on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at the Voss & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. David Schill officiating.  Burial will follow at Marion Baptist Cemetery.  A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
