Ronald Lee “Ron” Bearry

August 6, 1952 - July 14, 2015

Ronald Lee “Ron” Bearry, 62 of Seymour, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2015, at Schneck Medical Center.

Ron was born August 6, 1952, in Columbus, Indiana, to the late Aubrey and Mary Irene Strahl Bearry.

He married Virginia Catherine Everroad on September 3, 1971, in Jonesville, Indiana, and she survives.

After graduating from Columbus North High School in 1970, Ron went to work at Arvins Tech Center and owned and operated Bartholomew Arms where he manufactured ammunition and arms for several police departments. He was a President of the Petersville Baseball League where he developed the ballparks and coached baseball for many years. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing and hunting.

He is survived by his wife, two daughters, one son, one granddaughter, five grandsons, two brothers and a sister.

Ron is preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral service will be at Voss Chapel on Monday, July 20, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Tony McClendon officiating. Burial will follow at Reddington Cemetery.

Friends and family may call at Voss Chapel Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. and Monday after 10 a.m. until time of service.

May your memories of the wonderful times you shared with your loved one comfort you and your family, today and always.

Being the same age as Ron Bearry I find it hard to accept a life being extinguished this early in the game. Even though we had lost touch for many years I have great memories of time spent with Ron & Caye and their children. Ron coached my daughter in baseball for several years and we all became good friends. And one of my favorite memories is a Halloween prank we played on him...snuck up in his driveway, took the top off of his jeep and put it in his front yard with a For Sale sign on it! He was mad but he got over it!! Sending prayers for comfort and peace to Ron's family. Please know this passing did not go by unnoticed.
