Ronald W. Fisher, 80 of Seymour, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2016, at Covered Bridge Health Campus in Seymour, Indiana.
He was born June 20, 1936, in East Enterprise, Indiana, the son of Louie and Kathryn (Crouch) Fisher.
He married Joan Hatfield on November 28, 1959, in Rising Sun, Indiana, who preceded him May 14, 2010.
Ronald was a member of the Tabernacle. He served in the US Army. He retired from Cummins Engine Company in 1987 and Precise Mold in 2005. He enjoyed walking and going to Dairy Queen. He could remember every joke he ever heard and had a way of recalling them at the absolutely perfect times.
He is survived by his daughters, Tammy and Shawna (Greg Cook) Fisher; a brother, Bill (Donna) Fisher, a nephew, Bill (Vanessa) Fisher and a niece, LaDessia (Darren) Thayer.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Joan.
Funeral service will be held at the Tabernacle, 301 Indianapolis Ave., Seymour, Indiana, on Saturday, December 3, 2016, at 10:30 am with Rev. Larry Arrowood, Rev. Randy Easton and Rev. Todd Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery with full military graveside rites conducted by VFW Post 1925, American Legion Post 89, Disabled Veterans 47, Korean and Vietnam Veterans, all of Seymour.
Friends and family may gather at the Tabernacle on Friday from 4 to 8 pm and Saturday after 9:30 am until time of service.
