JERRY WALTERS left a message on July 19, 2019:
I now live in Florida so unable to attend the service. I became friends with Rowland and Pat and watch their business grow from their basement. Both great hard working people who have shown true Hoosier values. A great man that Seymour and Jackson county can be proud of a a good old friend of mine. JERRY WALTERS
Jim Shelby left a message on July 17, 2019:
I knew, and even worked for Rowland, in the mid-seventies. I have many good memories of him. We would talk and laugh about things that went on during the day. He was always fair with me and now that I'm older I can appreciate that so much more. I had the good fortune of running into him on occasion while working at the phone company before I moved to North Carolina. I believe the last time was working with him on a problem in Brownstown at the water company. As always, even then, he never addressed me by my real name. He always addressed me as 'Spock'! Even though I hadn't seen Rowland in years I will truly remember and miss him. My utmost condolences to the family. James Shelby (Spock)
Randy Malone left a message on July 17, 2019:
Mr. Deputy had a profound and lasting impact on my life for it was back in the seventies that he helped get me setup with my first citizen's band (CB) radio and that in turn lead to my interest in telecommunications and radio which is has been my occupation now for 35 years. I loved Deputy Electronics and would go there just to look at all the radios on display and talk to Rowland and staff about various elements. My deepest sympathy for your loss — Randy Malone
