Russell Lloyd Montgomery, 91 of Seymour passed away very peacefully at home on Thursday, July 30, 2020. Russell was born in Bartholomew County, Indiana on July 17, 1929, the son of the late Loyd and Mildred Glasson Montgomery. On March 27, 1965, at St. Louis Crossing Methodist Church, Russell married Rebecca “Becky” (Gant) Montgomery.

Russell was a member of Central Christian Church in Seymour. He proudly served his country during the Korean War in the United States Navy. He then retired after 30 years of service with Cummins Engine Company. Russell was a quiet man who loved his family.

Russell leaves behind his wife Becky; children, Michael Montgomery, Leanne (Eric) Fleetwood, Marlene (Jeff) James, Lynda (Mark) Love, and Lory Roberts; grandchildren, Gillian, Meredith, Hadley, Dale, Russell, Rachel, and Zachary; great grandchildren, Brody, Blayne, Brantley, Zoey, Zaden, Waylon, and Emersyn; and sister, Bette Sowl.

He is preceded by his parents; his brother, Roger Montgomery; and his sister, Gwen Wade.

Family and friends may visit at Voss and Sons Funeral Service on Monday, August 3, 2020 from 12 noon to 1:30 p.m. Masks are required for the safety of our staff and the wonderful family we are honored to serve. A private funeral service will be held at Voss and Sons Funeral Service with burial at Garland Brook Cemetery in Columbus, at a later time.
