Mrs. Ruth Jean Cottingham, 88, of Seymour, passed away on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at Covered Bridge Health Campus. She was born July 27, 1930 to the late Frank and Cynthia (Boone) Juett.
Funeral services will be held at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Saturday, August 4 at 10 am with Pastor Irvin Benge officiating. Burial will follow at Uniontown Cemetery.
Friends and family may call at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Friday from 4-8 pm and on Saturday from 9 am until time of service.
Mrs. Cottingham was a member of the Uniontown Baptist Church. On December 12, 1948, in Uniontown, she married Everett Cottingham, who preceded her in death on October 12, 2006. She enjoyed reading, word search puzzles, gardening in her flower and vegetable gardens and mowing her yard. She also enjoyed cooking for her family and church friends. She was a wonderful pie maker and was known for her Lemon Pie.
She is survived by her children, Cindy (Jeff) Rider, Jim (Sandra) Cottingham, Ron Cottingham, and Robert (Amie) Cottingham; 5 grandchildren, Valerie (Eric) Stuber, Veronica Rider, Jeremy Cottingham, Kristy (Mike) Hedke and Bryce (Chelsea) Cottingham; 3 great-grandchildren; sister, Jessie Kleber as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brothers, William Juett and Melvin Juett.
Memorials may be written to Uniontown Cemetery, in care of Voss & Sons Funeral Service.
