Shirley “Ma” Dean (Oathout) Reichenbacker, 83, of Seymour, passed away July 6, 2021, at Schneck Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.

Born in 1937, in Indianapolis, IN, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Katheleen (Wray) Oathout. On June 18, 1955, she married Jack Reichenbacker.

Shirley was a 1955 graduate of Cortland High School and was a homemaker. Shirley enjoyed cooking Sunday suppers, planting flowers, reading, and bird watching but her greatest enjoyment was being with her family.

She is survived by her children, Ronald R. (Donna) Reichenbacker, Connie K. (Michael) Hollin; grandchildren, Jason (Vera) Reichenbacker, Travis (Jamey) Dillman, Kristy (Mark) Tyler, Randi (Louie) Pijarnsan, Benjamin (Danielle) Hollin, great grandchildren, Heather, Jaxon, Alexis, Tyler, Sariana, Serenity, Marie, Alex, Khai-lyn, Jake, Ollie, Lily and Archie; great-grandchildren, Jovanna and Journey; sisters, Patty (John) Shufflebarger, Sharon (Chuck) Amick, and brother, Bobby Shortt.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son George Paul Reichenbacker.

Visitation will be held at Voss Chapel on Thursday, July 8, 2021, from 4-7pm.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, July 9, 2021, at 11am with visitation one hour prior to service.

Burial will take place at Acme Cemetery.

Memorials may be written to the Donor’s Choice.
