Sondra Kay “Sandy” Hohenstreiter Zink

Sondra Kay “Sandy” Hohenstreiter Zink, 65 of Seymour, Indiana, passed away Saturday, August 20, 2016, at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

She was born August 9, 1951, in Seymour, Indiana, the daughter of Glen and Gladys (Combs) Johnson.

Sandy was a member of the 1969 graduating class of Seymour High School. She worked at Graessle-Mercer for 37 years until her retirement. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Ladies Auxiliary and the Moose Lodge Ladies Auxiliary both of Seymour. She enjoyed spending time with her family, and “Gigi” especially loved her grandsons.

She is survived by her son, Dwayne (Kathy M.) Hohenstreiter, two grandsons, Trent and Trey Hohenstreiter; three sisters, Peggy (Donnie) Durham, Deborah (Louis) Kleber and Denise Walker; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral service will be held at Voss Chapel on Thursday, August 25, 2016, at 10:30 am with Rev. Sandy Cooper officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.

Friends and family may gather at Voss Chapel on Wednesday from 4 to 8 pm and Thursday after 9:00 am until time of service.
