Mr. Stephen Wayne Wilson, 81, of Brownstown, formerly of Seymour and North Vernon, celebrated his birthday with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 with his family by his side.

Born May 19, 1940 in Seymour he was the son of Woodrow and Dorothy (Schryer) Wilson.

On June 16, 1960, in Freetown, IN he married Ruth Marie Robertson.

Stephen was a member of the Church of God in North Vernon, Indiana. He was retired from Home Products International.

He is survived by his children, James Matthew (Donnita) Wilson, Teresa (Kenneth) Johnson, grandchildren Daniel Johnson, Jeremiah Johnson, Brandon (Miranda) Wilson, Devin Wilson; great-grandson, Malachi Wilson and brother David (Nancy) Wilson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one infant sister, Sherry and grandson Nathan Johnson.

In keeping with Mr. Wilson’s wishes, cremation services are being provided by Voss & Sons Funeral Service and Crematory.

Ruth, Jimmie and Teresa. My sincere sympathy at the loss of Steve. Praise God he knew his Lord and Saviour. I ran in to you and Steve, Ruth at Walmart a while ago. Don’t know if you remember but I do. What wonderful memories I have of mom and dad loading us kids up and going to your house to play cards. Mom, dad, you and Steve would play cards while all us kids would play. I remember your chihuahua too! I think we called him Botchie!! I don’t know why!! Oh my. Lit a candle in memory of Stephen Wayne Wilson

So saddened to hear of Steves passing I really enjoyed getting together with him. i loved that he shared all of the memories of his youth and stories of when he, his siblings and cousins were young. I can only imagine the reunion he is having with Uncle Woody and all those loved ones in heaven. Thinking of all of you today and in the days ahead. Our family lost a great one!
