Mrs. Susan M. Eggersman Ringer, 92, of Seymour, passed away on Tuesday, October 3, 2017, at Lutheran Community Home. She was born on February 25, 1925, in Jackson County, to the late Edward and Jessie (Jaynes) Manuel. On February 25, 1983, she married James Robert Ringer, Sr., he preceded her in death on December 8, 2004. She was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Brownstown. She was also a member of the American Legion and VFW Auxiliary in Seymour.
She is survived by her daughter, Karen Eggersman; step son, James R. Ringer, Jr.; step daughters, Shari Simpson and Holly Ringer; grandchild, Nelson Sterling, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Ericka Sterling and Christa Sterling; 7 step-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Rolland Eggersman; second husband, Merrill Crum; third husband, Robert Ringer, Sr., daughter, Donna Marie Eggersman DoBois; brothers, Melvin Manuel, David Manuel, and Virgil Manuel; and sisters, Kathleen Humphrey, Mary Rose Williams, and Catherine Naylor.
Funeral services will be at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Monday, October 9, at 1:30 pm with Rev. Andrew Currao and Rev. Jeremy Yeardon officiating. Burial will follow at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.
Family and friends may call at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Monday after 12 noon until time of service.
