Teresa Ann (Prewitt) Reynolds, 54, passed away at Schneck Memorial Hospital Wednesday, September 18, 2024, after a brief illness. She was born in Seymour on August 7, 1970, to the late Gerald Prewitt and Mary (Jackson) Prewitt. Her mother survives.
Teresa was meticulous about her appearance and liked to keep everything neat. She graduated from Brownstown High School in 1989. She was proud of her position as Branch Manager for Help at Home and later, as a Special Education Aide at Seymour Middle School. Caring for others was her trademark. She married Robert Reynolds on June 24, 2023. Teresa enjoyed crafts of all kinds and was always surprising her grandchildren with a homemade gift. She loved browsing flea markets, tending to her vegetable garden, and listening to Elvis. She was very close to her mother-in-law, Susan Reynolds, and especially loved her cooking. Her family lovingly remembers her making the very best banana pudding and potato salad and being “late for everything.”
Left behind to cherish Teresa’s memory are her beloved husband, Robert; her mother, Mary (Paul Robbins) Prewitt; sons, Michael (Christine) Bush and Brent (Autumn) Bush; grandchildren, Leelan Bush, Letty Bush, Brylin Bush, and Greyson Hersberger; brother, Daron (Kasey) Prewitt; niece, Hali (Brandon) Arp; nephew, Joshua (Katie) Prewitt; and mother-in-law, Susan Reynolds. She will also be dearly missed by her sweet dogs Bruno, Charlie, and Cooper.
Teresa is preceded in death by her father, Gerald Prewitt; and her sister, Melissa Jane Prewitt.
Funeral services for Teresa will be held Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. at Voss and Sons Funeral Home, 316 North Chestnut Street, Seymour. Reverend A.J. Poulton of Community Church, Brownstown will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. The family has chosen cremation following the funeral.
