Tonja L Blish, 61, of Seymour, passed away with her family by her side at Schneck Medical Center on September 23, 2018. She was born in Columbus, Indiana on July 31, 1957 to the late Willard Ray and Mary Freeman.
Funeral services will be conducted by Voss & Sons Funeral Service at Redeemer Lutheran Church at 10:30 AM on Friday, September 28, 2018 with Revs. Andrew Currao and Joseph Barlau officiating. Burial will follow at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.
Friends and family may call at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Thursday, September 27th from
3 to 8 PM and at Redeemer Lutheran Church on Friday, September 28th from 9:30 AM until the time of the service.
“Faith Family Friends” was her motto in life. Her membership at Redeemer Lutheran Church provided the foundation for her strong faith. On August 22, 1981 she married the love of her life David Blish. Throughout life her biggest accomplishment and joy was raising her three boys; David, Clint and Trevor. And she lived for her grandchildren; Hallie and Hayes and Godson; Ian Stout. She was known for her tenacity to live in the moment and always possessed a positive attitude. She was an avid card player, a sports enthusiast and a friend to everyone.
She is survived by her husband, David Blish; three sons, David (Tiffany) Blish, Clint (Rachel) Blish, and Trevor Blish. Grandchildren, Hayes Blish and Hallie Blish and mother-in-law, Marilyn Blish. Brothers; Roland (Carol Schepman) Freeman, Randy (Lisa) Freeman, sister; Marlene (Don) Ruwe and sister-in-law; Susan (Mark) Patrick.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willard Ray and Mary Freeman; father-in-law, Edwin
Blish; brother-in-law, David Motsinger (Susan); and nephew, Matthew Patrick.
