Mrs. Velma Rose, 89, of Seymour, IN passed away Saturday, November 25, 2017, at Franciscan Health Indianapolis. Mrs. Rose was born in Newton, IL on March 20, 1928, the daughter of Harry and Carrie (Hubbard) Creviston.On March 3, 1945 in Camp Fannin, TX, she married Kenneth L. Rose, who preceded her in death October 14, 2000. Velma was retired from Cosco where she worked for 17 years. She was a member of the Thimbleberry Club and enjoyed quilting. She is survived by her daughters, Rita (Lloyd) Kerkhof, Patricia Kimbell, Theresa (Ray) Lucas, Herschel (Linda) Rose; 9 Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Great Grandchildren. She was preceded by her parents; husband; infant sister; Louise Creviston; sister, Margaret Hite, Grace Green; brothers, Ernest Creviston, Harry Creviston, Burt Creviston, and Robert Creviston. Funeral services will be held at Voss and Sons Funeral Service on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. with the Reverend Dan DeFrees officiating. Burial will take place at Riverview Cemetery, Seymour, IN. Friends may call at Voss Chapel after 11:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of service. Memorials may be written to the American Cancer Society.
