Mrs. Odean Banning, of Seymour, passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2018, at Schneck Medical Center. She was born September 8, 1926, in Clay City, Indiana to the late Thomas and Bertha (Lankford) Loudermilk. On October 18, 1950, she married James H. Banning in Kokomo; he preceded her in death on December 26, 2000. She liked to make latch hook rugs, cross stitch, bake fudge cookies and farming.
She is survived by her son, James D. (Kathie) Banning; grandsons, Jameson Banning and Brandon Banning; brother, Chelsia (Mary Jane) Loudermilk; and sister, Louise Black.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; and sisters, Grace Retz and Angelia Riggs.
Funeral services will be at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Monday, January 22 at 10:30 am with Rev. Bill Elmore officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.
Family and friends may call at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Sunday from 2-5 pm and Monday after 9:30 am until time of service.
