Walter E. Smith, 85, of Crothersville IN, passed away Saturday August 21, 2021 at his home. Walter was born in 1935 to the late Thomas Smith and Maude Whitt Pearson. Walter was a member of the Moose Lodge in Scottsburg.

Walter married Norma June Morgan on December 11, 1954 in Jackson County, IN. He retired from the American Can Company and JC Groub as a truck driver.

He loved to sit on his front porch and watch the traffic. He also enjoyed gardening and going to Thirsty’s to see his friends but most of all he enjoyed being with his family.

Walter is survived by his daughter Debra (Steve) Beswick; two granddaughters Staci (Jeremy) Peters and Sara (Eugene) Isenhower; great grandkids Madison Isenhower, (Triston Forward), Tyler Peters (Jessica Ross), Trevor Peters, and Nate Peters; one brother Dick Pearson; one sister Reva Camp.

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, brothers; Bob, Chester, Greene, Cody, Delmar, Jig, and Fred; and sisters Helen, Fairy.

Services will be held on Tuesday August 24, 2021 at 3pm at Voss and Sons Funeral Home.

Friends may call Tuesday August 24, 2021 at Voss and Sons from 1pm until the time of the service.
