Mrs. Wanda Burbrink, 86 of Seymour, passed away Saturday, September 29, 2018 in Indianapolis at I.U. Methodist Hospital.
Mrs. Burbrink was born in Niotaze, Kansas on July 2, 1932, the daughter of the late J.R. “Bob” and Marie Etta (Norris) Patterson.
She was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Seymour, where she was confirmed in 1954 and a Sunday school teacher for many years. On November 28, 1953, she married Mr. Floyd Burbrink at the Seymour First United Methodist Church. Mr. Burbrink passed away March 26, 2012.
Mrs. Burbrink was a very caring, loving farm wife, who loved her children and their families. She had a gentle smile that was always very warm and inviting to stay awhile. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and being involved with numerous community organizations. She stayed very active being a 4-H leader for many years and enjoyed playing board games and cards with her family. She was a avid Bridge player.
She will be greatly missed by her children; Steven (Jill) Burbrink, Timothy (Laura) Burbrink and Brenda (John) Allman, 9 grandchildren; Brian (Heather) Burbrink, Allison (Anthony) Allio, Benjamin (Allison) Burbrink, Philip Burbrink, Leanna (Drew) Royalty, Max Burbrink, Madeline (Ty) Giddens, Adrian (Kyle) Taylor and Zackary Allman, 12 great grandchildren; Ava Grace Burbrink, Emery Burbrink, Elijah Burbrink, Liam Burbrink, Annalee Burbrink, Siena Allio, Dominic Allio, Kipton Royalty, Stella Taylor, Brock Taylor, Emilee Taylor and Garrick Giddens.
Mrs. Burbrink is preceded in death by her parents, husband of 49 years, Floyd, brother Harry Leon Patterson.
Funeral service will be conducted by Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Wednesday, October 3rd, 10:00 a.m. at Redeemer Lutheran Church, with Reverend Andrew Currao and Reverend Joseph Barlau officiating.
Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery, in Seymour.
Family and friends may gather at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Tuesday, October 2nd from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday at Redeemer Lutheran Church after 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
Memorials may be designated to Redeemer Lutheran Church Building Fund or Immanuel Lutheran School, through the Voss & Sons Funeral Service.
