Wilma Dora Ritz

Mrs. Wilma Dora Ritz, 89, of Seymour, IN, passed away September 23, 2014, at Schneck Medical Center.

Wilma was born in Jackson County, IN, on January 8, 1925, the daughter of William H. and Lydia A. (Snyder) Schuerman.

On May 15, 1954, in Jeffersonville, IN, she married Francis Ervin Ritz who preceded her in death December 20, 1991.

Wilma was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church; she was employed as an inspector at Excello Shirt Factory, Seymour.

Wilma is survived by her daughter, Brenda Lawson, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister; Lucille Lawson and 1 infant brother.

Funeral Services will be at Voss Chapel on Thursday, September 25, at 11:00 AM, with Rev. Philip E. Bloch officiating.

Friends may call on Thursday after 10:00 a.m. until time of service at Voss Chapel.

Burial will be at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.

Memorials may be written to Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Wilma was a precious and dear friend...my first friend in Seymour. Her kindness was always a blessing and she always shared from the abundance of the love in her heart ...and from the vegetables from her garden as well. It was a priviledge to be her neighbor and friend. She will be dearly missed. We rejoice that we will see her again as she goes before us to her heavenly home. Wilma was a spirited woman who was always enjoyable to be around. I'll miss seeing her more than I can express. Wilma was a blessing to know and I hope to one day leave an impact like she has. Brenda, my deepest condolences and my heart breaks for you all. Wilma had the best personality and was so spunky, she was liked by everyone.

Wilma was always pleasant to be around. She was loved by so many. I truly will miss her smile. She always knew how to cheer you up when you where having bad day. Brenda my heart goes out to you and your family.
