Alex Aurelio Ramirez, 19, of Seymour, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2023, at Riley Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis surrounded by his parents.  He was born on September 26, 2003 in Colquitt, Georgia, the son of Aurelio Ramírez-Ortiz and Camila Pacheco Santiago.

Alex is survived by a daughter, his parents and a younger brother, Derik Ramirez, as well as many loving friends and family.

Alex lived in Seymour all his life.  He attended Seymour High School, where he played saxophone in the High School band, and was on the High School football team.  He was known to be an independent person who was loving and a hard worker who loved his younger brother.  Alex was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Seymour.

Alex was a warrior and fought against leukemia until the last moment, may God keep him in his bosom at peace.

A  wake will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2023 from 12 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. at Voss and Son’s Funeral Home

A  funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at 2:30 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church. Address 1202 N. Ewing St. Seymour, IN 47274 .

Alex Aurelio Ramírez, de 19 años, de Seymour, falleció el miércoles 22 de febrero de 2023 en el Riley Children’s Hospital en Indianápolis rodeado de sus padres.  Nació el 26 de septiembre de 2003 en Colquitt, Georgia, hijo de Aurelio Ramírez-Ortiz y Camila Pacheco Santiago.

A Alex le sobreviven una hija, sus padres y un hermano menor, Derik Ramírez, así como muchos amigos y familiares amorosos.

Alex vivió en Seymour toda su vida.  Asistió a Seymour High School, donde tocó el saxofón en la banda de la Escuela preparatoria, y estuvo en el equipo de fútbol de la Escuela Preparatoria.  Era conocido por ser una persona independiente que era amorosa y un buen trabajador que amaba a su hermano menor.  Alex era miembro de la Iglesia Bautista El Calvario en Seymour.

Alex era un guerrero y lucho contra la leucemia hasta el último momento, que Dios le tenga en su seno de en paz.
